As the Spice Girls' fame was starting to wane down I chose to create this ironic piece in which, through just clever editing, they appear to be singing "Gracias a la Vida," a traditional Latin American folk song penned by Chilean artist Violeta Parra in the late 60's that speaks of gratitude towards life. At the end of the spot, the MTV Logo replies to the girls simply by saying "You're welcome."
